What is Player of the Month?
Player of the Month awards the player who best performed in a given month. Because this site focuses on World Records, POM is largely skewed towards who had the most impressive WRs throughout the month. Factors that strongly favor a player are untied WRs, WR difficulty, strategy discovery and milestones. High WR total, though important, does not guarantee a spot as Player of the Month.

The standings below represent the modern era of GE, from 2006 and beyond. Points are awared on a 1-3-5 basis for POM-POQ-POY. Previous awards listings can be found at GEWR Awards, dating 2001-2006.

POM History      jump to.. [2006] [2007] [2008]

2006       - 2006: A year in review -

January 2006: Karl Jobst
February 2006: Henrik Norgren
Player of Winter: Henrik Norgren
Henrik's work alone in Train shattered the record charts and showed the-elite what setting WRs is all about - not getting those 3 extra points, but pushing the game to its limits and to set marks previously unimaginable.

March 2006: Ilari Pekkala
April 2006: Ryan White
May 2006: Michael Kirkness
Player of Spring: Ilari Pekkala
Without much activity in the latter half of the quarter, Illu's accomplishments in March shined above everything else this quarter. He had the most WRs on some of the toughest stages there are (Aztec sweep..).

June 2006: Ilari Pekkala
July 2006: Bryan Bosshardt
August 2006: Ilari Pekkala
Player of Summer: Ilari Pekkala
This summer, two players shined above the rest. Illu had the most WRs, but Boss had more untieds (and tied one of Illu's untieds!). However, Illu's remaining untied (Dam SA) is viewed as one of the strongest in the elite, and worked on more levels and even more impressive WRs throughout the entire summer.

September 2006: Leonardo Santos
October 2006: Rayan Isran, Jimmy Bauer
November 2006: Ilari Pekkala
Player of Fall: Ryan White
Ryan White is often left in the shadows each month, however his consistency through all of the Fall season makes him the top choice for the POQ. Ryan White had 11 WRs on distinct stages (compare to 6 for Illu), including 2 very strong untied WRs on Silo. Illu had more untieds, but Goose takes the final quarter of a very impressive 2006.

December 2006: Dan Cervone

Player of the Year, 2006: Ilari Pekkala

2007
      - 2007: A year in review - January 2007: David Clemens
February 2007: Rayan Isran
Player of Winter: Rayan Isran
While no player was active the entire season, Rayan Isran's WRs were standabove the rest the most impressive of the season. Train demolition and bringing the-elite closer to 1:15:00 was a part of a truly epic Winter.

March 2007: Bryan Bosshardt, Ryan White
April 2007: Guillherme Alberto
May 2007: Bryan Bosshardt
Player of Spring: Bryan Bosshardt
Bryan Bosshardt makes a triumphant return to competition with more than a dozen of the-elites best WRs and handfuls of godly untied WRs. Truly a season to remember.

June 2007: David Clemens
July 2007: Bryan Bosshardt
August 2007: Bryan Bosshard
Player of Summer: David Clemens and Bryan Bosshardt
These two are indistinguishable. Boss spent the majority of the summer setting 3 insane WRs and Clemens spent the majority of the summer on his own lesser-quality untieds and large sum of WRs to take 2nd in WR count.

September 2007: David Clemens
October 2007: David Clemens
November 2007: Bryan Bosshardt
Player of Fall: David Clemens
As much as I would have liked to give a split Boss/Clemens, David Clemens won more POMs, had more WRs every month, and set some pretty darn impressive untieds in this quarter, including 1:04 Bunker1 00A. He also was able to match Boss' efforts on 1:02/1:21 Caverns almost immediately, to help his cause.

December 2007: David Clemens

2008
January 2008: David Clemens
February 2008: David Clemens
Player of Winter: David Clemens
He hit every single POM along the way, I guess this one simply makes sense. But hey, 9 untied WRs including Bunker 1 SA 0:21, Bunker II SA 0:46, Aztec sweeps, and the 0:54 archives pair help, too.

March 2008: Rayan Isran
April 2008: Rayan Isran
